Program: Healthier Lives at School & Beyond

Purpose: To provide quality behavioral health, nutrition education and counseling, and acute minor medical services to the students, staff, and faculty of medically underserved communities in eastern North Carolina.

McLeod Health

Program: McLeod Health School Based Telehealth Program

Purpose: The McLeod School-Based TeleHealth program partners with several schools within Florence 1 Schools and Florence School District 2. This program, with authorized parental/guardian consent, allows the patient to see a provider without leaving school for secure and private on-demand non-emergency medical visits. Patients receive the same level of care they would get at the doctor’s office. Using high-definition cameras and state-of-the-art equipment with attached peripheral devices, a full examination is possible.
